How we chose “Grove”
Our mission is to interrupt cycles of relational and financial poverty. We want to do this through a well-run, generous business that creates a people-first space where relationships can grow.
Why “Grove” Coffee? Oak Lawn’s 95th Street was previously named “Black Oak Grove Road.” Groves are places where trees grow close together and their root systems intertwine to make them more resilient in storms.
At Grove, we believe our communities are more resilient when people grow close. And some of our most impactful relationships have been the mentors we’ve had along the way. That’s why we’re partnering with Forward Mentoring to bring mentoring in focus for our local teens. So bring a friend, find a mentor, enjoy a craft coffee, and grow close.

Our Coffee and Tea:
We believe Modest coffee has a strong Brazilian single-origin medium roast for a consistent and coffee-forward latte. We are also partnered with Wheaton-based Five and Hoek for our medium roast blend. We hope to feature local roasters every few months so reach out to georgy@grovecoffeeshop.com to learn more.
For all the tea lovers, we will serve premium tea from Rishi Tea to meet your non-coffee needs.
Our Food:
We will be partnering with West Town Bakery and The Bagelers to provide our pastries, croissants, donuts, and specialty bagel breakfast sandwiches (don’t worry, we’ll provide some gluten-free options too). We’d love to partner with other local bakers, so don’t hesitate to reach out to nate@grovecoffeeshop.com to learn more.
